Special Event and Education Internship
The Gatlinburg Farmers Market will host five special events during the 2016 season beginning Saturday, May 14 – October 8, 8:00 a.m. to noon. (For complete details, download a copy of the Special Event and Education position description.)

The Gatlinburg Farmers Market will host a series of fun and educational events during the market that focuses on local products, our mountain heritage and/or traditional methods.   The assistant will help market managers run the events and assist with setup and breakdown of items needed during the day.

Social Media Internship

The GFM uses Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and more to advertise and inform the public about what is happening at the Market.  The intern will coordinate with market managers to develop the social media message that GFM will broadcast across these platforms.

Internship for Market Visitor Assistant
is 8:30 a.m. to noon, every other Saturday May 14 through October 8.  (For complete details, download a copy of the Market Visitor position description.)

Customer service is very important.  Market Managers want to make sure that we are providing a great place for customers and vendors alike.  We want to make sure that visitors enjoy their experience at the Market.  The intern will be asked to track the number of visitors, distribute visitor surveys, communicate with visitors about their experience, and any other duties assigned.

Internship for Kids’ Day Assistant
The Gatlinburg Farmers Market will host host several Kid's Day events during the 2016 season during regular market hours 8:30 a.m. to noon.  (For complete details, download a copy of the Kids’ Day Assistant position description.)

A local business will be leading an activity every hour for children who would like to participate  in a free activity.  The market will also organize a market wide scavenger hunt for kids and parents. The intern will be asked to assist the local business and market manager in these activities.  This assignment will also help in the setup and breakdown of the tent, tables, and any other duties associated with organization of the activities.
